French braiding your hair is one of the easy and elegant ways to style your hair. It may look hard to do, but it’s something you can learn and be amazed about it. If you know how to braid hair, French braid hairstyles will be a lot easier. This is just a variation of the basic braid. And here are the simple steps you can follow to get that look.
1. First, is to untangle your hair by combing or brushing it thoroughly.
2. Determine where you would like the braid to sit and then section a one inch triangle of this section. Separate or split the triangle into three strands.
3. After that, hold one strand between the thumb and index finger of one hand and the other two strands between the thumb, index, and middle finger of the other hand.
4. With the hand that has only one strand of hair, use the pinky finger to slice a section of hair from the same side of the head.
5 Join the new section of hair to the old section between the thumb and index and cross the hair over the first section of hair in the other hand. When doing this take that other hands first section and leave it with the hand that is now empty.
6. Now with the hand that is holding two strands of hair repeat step 4. Only this time because you have two stands in your hand you are going to cross the one between the middle finger over the one between the index and thumb.
7. With the hand that has only one strand of hair repeat step three and four. Now all three original strands have been met by new hair.
8. Repeat steps 4-5 until you run out of hair. When there is no more hair to be joined into the braid you can just cross the remaining three strands of hair the same way as step 4-5 without gathering new hair into the strands. Tie off or clip the end of the braid.
In French braid hairstyles or other braiding techniques, you have the option to put a light gel on the hair when it is still damp to last the whole day. And with many tries, you’ll get use to it and get the French braid hairstyle perfectly the way you want it. So have fun everyone.
